The 33-year-old midfielder is enjoying his time with his former club Basel. This season Xhedan Shaqiri made 26 appearances for Basel across all competitions. In his 26 appearances, he netted 11 goals and registered 11 assists.
Basel are in second place in the Switzerland Super League thanks to the brilliant performance of Xhedan Shaqiri in the midfield zone.
He is also the top assist provider in the league with 11 assists. Apart from that, he also holds the highest goal contribution in the league currently.
It’s very delightful to see Xhedan Shaqiri enjoying his time and giving his best once more. Especially since he called time on his sparkling international career last summer, it is very interesting to see a player at this stage of his career giving the best.
