Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr beat Al-Ettifaq by three goals to nil. Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane provided two assists to hand Gerrard and Al-Ettifaq their first loss of the season.

Al-Ettifaq were on a flying start in the Saudi Pro League, with 3 wins in 3 games, when Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo decided to end their winning streak. Steven Gerrard & Co. had a chance to be table toppers if they had won on Friday.
Al-Ettifaq sits third on the table behind Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, with both teams set to take on each other later today to decide the table toppers. It is still a decent start to the season by Steven Gerrard and Al-Ettifaq, considering their 6th-place finish last season.
Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane failed to put his name in the scoresheet but helped the team by providing two assists. He was rated 8.6 by Fotmob the highest among any player on the pitch. Mane assisted Anderson Talisca’s and Salem Al Najdi’s goals on Friday.
This match also featured a strong Liverpool presence. With former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum, Sadio Mane, Steven Gerrard, and John Achteberg. Achteberg was Liverpool’s goalkeeping coach who left the Reds last summer to join Steven Gerrard and Al-Ettifaq.
