Al-Ettifaq manager Steven Gerrard has reunited with his former assistant Michael Beale last week, as Gerrard looks for first win in 8 matches.
The club has confirmed that sporting director Mark Allen and assistant coach Dean Holden has left by mutual consent. Michael Beale worked with Gerrard during his time at Rangers and Aston Villa before he went on his own managerial journey. Beale has now reunited with Gerrard in Saudi Arabia.

Steven Gerrard reunites with Michael Beale at Al-Ettifaq
Al-Ettifaq are without a win in 8 matches as they sit 12th in the Saudi Pro League. Steven Gerrard’s side were knocked out of the King’s Cup and has a difficult challenge to qualify for AFC Champions League.
“The club made decisions regarding the departure of Mark Allen and Dean Holden. The decision was also made to bring Michael Beale in who is a super coach, we spent years together previously and it’s great to have him back with me. Now we need some time to develop and improve.” said the Al-Ettifaq manager Steven Gerrard.
Al-Ettifaq’s last win came in September against Al-Adalah. Steven Gerrard’s side is currently five points clear of the bottom three but 10 away from the AFC Champions League spots.

Steven Gerrard and Al-Ettfifaq face league leaders Al-Ittihad next. Al-Ittihad are in fine form, their only defeat came against Al-Hilal in September. Gerrard will be hoping to get a winning momentum and challenge for a Champions League spot.
