Steven Gerrard makes bold claims after looking at Curtis Jones last night
Last night in Athens, the Three Lions had a dominating 3-0 victory over Greece in the Nations League. England got leads from Watkins and an owl goal from the Greek goalie Vlachodimos, thanks to Bellingham.
Jones scored the 3rd one, which instantly gained attention from Steven Gerrard. With the clock ticking at 83 minutes, he flicked the ball into the net following an incredible back-heel.
This victory took Lee Carsley’s squad on top of the table of Group B2, with 12 points in their bag. England are unbeaten in all eight of their away games till now.

Gerrard took it to his Instagram to praise Jones for his incredible performance last night against Greece. However, he did not like the fact that Curtis had to wait so long for his international call.
Moreover, the Liverpool legend claimed that he wants a ‘fine’ for everyone responsible for this.
“What a player. Fine the FA and all of the coaches for being late.”
Jones did not only impress Steven Gerrard last night. The 23-year-old had a dream debut. He has broken a 45 years old record by becoming the first Liverpool player since 1982 to score on his England debut.
In that year, Sammy Lee scored on his debut, and it was the 3rd goal. Coincidentally, in that match too, England won 3-0 over Greece.
