Stefan Bajcetic, who spent the first half of the season at Red Bull Salzburg, has recently fallen out of favor at the Austrian side.

According to reports, the 20-year-old midfielder had become dissatisfied with his situation and sought a move away from the club for the second half of the season.

After engaging in talks with several clubs, Liverpool and the Spanish U21 midfielder have decided on the best choice for the midfielder to spend the rest of the campaign.

Liverpool agree to send Stefan Bajcetic on loan to new club

Liverpool have agreed to allow Stefan Bajcetic go on loan to La Liga’s Las Palmas for the rest of the season, as the young midfielder looks to continue his development.

Other La Liga rivals Real Betis, Getafe and Celta Vigo were all credited with an interest in the player, but having witnessed the of Wolves striker Fabio Silva who is on loan at the Canaries club, Bajcetic and Liverpool believe Las Palmas is the ideal destination for him.

The Reds are eager for Bajcetic to gain as much playing time as possible this season and have been actively involved in helping him choose a new club.

However, it is understood that the final decision was ultimately left to the player.

Salzburg have also agreed to allow Bajcetic leave this month, as it is seen as the best option for all parties.

The midfielder is now expected to finalize his move to Spain before the transfer deadline on Monday, 3rd of February.

Bajcetic made 18 appearances during his time at Salzburg, while making five appearances in the UEFA Champions League.

A move to La Liga will bring a fresh challenge for Bajcetic, who will be playing in the Spanish top-flight for the first time in his career.

He will be hoping to help Las Palmas avoid relegation, as they currently lie 15th on the table, just 3 points above the relegation zone.
