Klopp on fabinho vs Man United

‘So happy’: Klopp stunned by what he’s seen from £40m Liverpool star ahead of today’s match

The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is overwhelmed with emotions to get his veteran midfielder Fabinho back into his old form before the fixture against Man United.

The Merseyside giants are going through a rough season but getting their reliable midfielder back before a crucial fixture will certainly boost the confidence of the coach and the whole fan base.

The Brazilian hit rock bottom this season and it was unimaginable for anyone that he could bounce back from that spot. Fabinho was considered the backbone of Klopp’s midfield and his poor form was the reason why the English giants were lacking any kind of control in the middle of the park.

But that situation drastically changed against Wolves. The win against Wolves was crucial for the Reds not only based on the League table but also based on increasing their individual confidence.

The midfielder’s performance was something that made the LFC fans most excited for the rest of the season. They could see the old number 3 tackling, pressing, and showing intensity in the middle of the park.

The Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp was also impressed to see this unexpected comeback. On speaking about the Brazilian in the press conference the German said:

“When I spoke about it I said ‘Fabinho isn’t at his best’, it sounds a little bit strange (to you). But everybody can see it , so why should I not say that obvious stuff?

Now everyone can see Fab is getting back (to his best), and that’s exactly what we need obviously. We spoke a second ago about Rashford and, it’s a different position, but things like this happen. You cannot really explain it, it just happens.

It was really good and I’m really happy for him and happy for us that he looks really like the old one again.”

The 29-year-old is the best example of why we should never write anyone off because quality players are capable of comebacks at any point in time.
