O’Connor gives a glimpse of Diogo Jota injury
Due to frequently matches in the Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup, Slot is constantly shuffling his squad for the best. However, we have unfortunate news because the Reds might not have a matchmaker with them for the next match.
Now, it appears that Diogo Jota has faced a sudden injury. On Wednesday evening, Liverpool are going up against Bologna in the Champions League match. While the Reds were training, cameras could not spot him. The Portuguese International has become a key player for Slot, so this is a piece of bad news for the Dutchman.
While Vinny O’Connor was talking about Jota and his injury, he gave a slight bit of hope to the fans. Although the Portuguese is still not available, Nunez is back.
“Unfortunately they have [injury concerns]. If I step out of the way you’ll be able to see that one bit of good news is that Darwin Nunez is back in training, he obviously missed the game against Wolves through illness.”
Furthermore, talking about the injury incident of Jota, O’Connor provided a clear statement. Liverpool fans might feel helpless about the scenario but, this is an unavoidable scenario.
“One player you won’t see out there is Diogo Jota. That’s because he picked up a bit of a foot injury. Now, what we’re told. He’s had a scan, the scans come back clear, but he’s just not training today.”
