Can Liverpool sign Mbappe in the upcoming transfer window?. The 22-year-old French Footballer Kylian Mbappe had become the centre of attraction in the 2021 summer transfer window.

The transfer stand-off was between Real Madrid and the club he currently plays for i.e. PSG. The La Liga side made a massive offer for the French star, but PSG refused to entertain it.

Kylian Mbappe Contract

Kylian Mbappe rejected the new contract with a massive wage rise offer from PSG. As things stand Mbappe is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with the club he wishes to join in January before eventually moving free in the summer.

As Mbappe is now in the final year of his contract and he will be soon available for negotiations with other clubs from January 2022.

Mbappe in Liverpool colours will be perfect – Ian Rush

The Liverpool legend Ian Rush claims that Liverpool must start looking to refresh their attacking option. The current Liverpool team’s attack has four main players. Namely Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Diego Jota. Apart from the Portuguese international others are reaching their thirties.

Rush is pleased with the attacking trio under Jurgen but he insists that the club decides to do smart investments for a longer period. He believes that Kylian Mbappe would be the perfect addition to the Liverpool team rather than Haaland. The Liverpool legend said

I think you look age-wise; Mbappe is absolutely flying. He would suit Liverpool. Haaland is also scoring for fun. But they have to fit into Liverpool’s style of play, and Mbappe would certainly do that.

Rush states that the French man would suit perfectly for the Liverpool style of play. He is improving and will get even better if he plays for the reds. If Jurgen Klopp is keen to make the required changes to bring a new striker, the club should look for new options as long-term replacements. Commenting on Mbappe Rush said

He is improving and will get even better. He plays for the team. You can get an out-and-out goalscorer, but if you don’t provide them, they don’t score, but Mbappe makes goals as well as scoring them.

With Mbappe not signing a new contract with PSG, has given many clubs the chance to sign him for free. Rush feels this is a perfect opportunity for the Reds to sign the young French superstar before he signs a long-term contract with any other clubs. And insists Liverpool club to be smart in the upcoming winter transfer window.
