After spending six fabulous seasons, finally the Reds’ forward Sadio Mane is set to bid goodbye to Liverpool. The Senegalese star has been identified by the Bavarians as a top target this summer.

The Merseysiders have agreed to a deal with the Bundesliga giants worth £35million that will see the Senegalese international’s time at Anfield come to an end. Liverpool will receive a fixed fee of €32m (£27.4m) with a further €9m (£7.7m) in add-ons.

With the fee being agreed between both the clubs, now appears to see many questions being raised about Mane’s move to Bayern

Liverpool No.10’s desire to leave Liverpool for Bayern has left former Rangers and Scotland star McCoist confused. Ally McCoist has questions about Mane’s reasons for leaving Liverpool to join Bayern Munich.

While talking to talkSPORT, the Scotsman quotes:

Why is he doing it, is it for financial reasons? I don’t know, that’s the question we can’t answer,

Is it because he wants to play in another country? Possibly. Is he going to a better league? No.

Is he going to a more competitive league? No. Is he going to a better team? No. I find it very strange

Moreover, Englishman Chris Sutton questioned why the forward would want to leave Anfield. Furthermore, he said Mane has a better chance of winning the Champions League at Liverpool rather than Bayern Munich.

The former Celtic forward talking to BBC Radio 5 Live Sport, says:

I know that Liverpool have great competition for places up top now. Luis Diaz has been a great signing and Jota. But Mane is so important to them.

Would he stand a better chance of winning a Champions League at Liverpool or Bayern Munich? Exactly [it’s Liverpool], so why would he want to leave Liverpool?

With everything being said about Mane’s move to Bayern, nevertheless, the forward was a big part of Klopp’s system and what the Reds’ have achieved in recent years. But how does the move fit all parties? let’s have a look.

Anfield Home verdict on Mane’s transfer

Seeing one of the club’s greatest ever forwards depart is always disheartening. Emotionally it’s not fun to see Sadio go after seeing all these years how prolific the forward was for Liverpool.

But with refresh on the cards with the likes of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez being signed, Mane’s transfer to Bayern is actually a good move. The fee is good for a 30-year-old going into the last year of his deal who wants to leave.

From a football perspective, being in Liverpool and in Premier League is a bigger challenge rather than being at Bayern. But with his heart set on Munich, Liverpool are getting great money, besides, his replacement in the form of young 6 ft tall goalscorer Darwin Nunez from Benfica is fantastic from the Reds’ point of view.

Meanwhile, for Mane, there is not even a single doubt, that he will be tearing apart Bundesliga. Bayern are the dominant force in Germany, and favourites for the 11th Bundesliga title in a row.

Previously, towards the latter part of the last season, Sadio Mane was the best player for Liverpool. When Mo Salah was struggling, it was Mane whose crucial goals helped Liverpool. Moreover, We are pretty sure he will continue to do that.

He will be an outstanding player for Bayern Munich and we wish him good luck!
