Sad news for Liverpool fans as £125k-a-week player Arthur Melo is ruled out for four months.

Arthur Melo finally spoke out regarding the most recent setback to his Liverpool career.

The Brazilian international joined Jurgen Klopp’s team this summer on a year-long loan from Juventus.

But since joining Liverpool’s senior team on deadline day, the 26-year-old has only seen 13 minutes of competitive football due to a lack of fitness.

Arthur won praise for his commitment to staying in shape during the international break by participating in a number of Under-21 games.

However, the player was ruled out for up to four months last week [The Athletic] due to a different ailment. And the player addressed the issue through an Instagram post.

Liverpool player Arthur Melo ruled out for the rest of the year

According to James Pearce of The Athletic, Arthur won’t play again for Liverpool this year. And Enrique is correct when he says that this is undoubtedly sad news.

The South American looks process is in place to succeed at Anfield. And while that’s still possible, the road there is suddenly much more challenging.

In light of this setback, HITC Sport suggested that the player might already be over on Merseyside. It is expected that Arthur can recover or prove valuable to Klopp. And you must admit that it now appears doubtful.

Liverpool will undoubtedly improve their midfield alternatives during the January transfer window. Therefore it makes sense to cancel the loan if Arthur, who makes £125,000 per week (SalarySport), is still available by then.

The former Barcelona star faces a challenging future. This is because his chances of representing his nation at the World Cup are over. And he may fall further behind in the midfield pecking order as players like Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, and Naby Keita get closer to their respective comebacks.
