In all of their matches, Liverpool has done extremely well to achieve the position of staying unbeaten in their clashes. Now, Ryan Gravenberch admits life under Slot is better than it was under Jurgen Klopp.
The senior LFC star was a part of the Reds while Anfield was still under the German Boss for eight and a half years. With the arrival of the Dutchman, things are slowly starting to look promising as time passes.
Ryan Gravenberch admits he likes Slot more than Klopp
In this season, the Dutch football star has started in all 3 matches, and played till the end of them. Contrary to the previous ones, LFC has started possession based playing, which has opened doors for him.
Recently, while talking to ESPN Netherlands, Gravenberch has admitted that he is happier to be under Slot than Klopp. The Dutchman helped him find his “form”; Ryan wants to push himself so that Hughes would stop looking for a new No.6.
Currently, he is the crown jewel of Liverpool’s midfield. Thanks to the failure to secure Zubimendi, it’s Ryan’s time to shine now.
“I just feel good in my skin, to be honest. But does that have a reason? Yeah, things are going well at the club. I’m just doing my thing, and it’s working out well now.”
It appears that Gravenberch feels more free and confident under the leadership of Slot than he used to feel under Klopp.
“He gives me confidence now. He just lets me start in the lineup. It’s going pretty well. As a player, you obviously want to get minutes. For me, that confidence is part of it. With that confidence, I feel more comfortable, and with the minutes, it keeps getting better.”
Arne Slot comments on the technique that floored Man Utd
We all remember how Luis Diaz swept Casemiro off the ball and scored his second goal. Thanks to the new tactics, which makes Gravenberch happier under Slot than Klopp. No team has yet succeeded in breaching Liverpool’s defense. Slot further went on to reveal:
“I normally don’t use the word ‘proud’ but what I think we did very well in all three games is, like I just mentioned, the work-rate without the ball.
So, we try to press the opponent as high as we can but if they play through or over our press, I see everybody working really hard to make sure we don’t need Ali”
