The 43-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion Manager Roberto De Zerbi has apparently drawn interest from Liverpool.

According to a report from Calciomercatoweb, If Liverpool decides to replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the current campaign, the 43-year-old Brighton Manager, Roberto De Zerbi, is on their radar.

The Reds have had a dismal season thus far. Moreover, looking at their current league standings it’s possible that they might not qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Recently, Liverpool also suffered a crushing 5-2 loss to Real Madrid in the Round of 16 of UCL’s opening leg. And it appears that their trip to Europe may be coming to an end.

Last season, the Reds came very close to accomplishing the quadruple. But this year, their form has completely collapsed. At Anfield, it appears like a big change could be coming this summer. And it’s still unclear if Fenway Sports Group is willing to fire Jurgen Klopp and replace him with a worthy successor.

Liverpool sees Roberto De Zerbi as potential Klopp replacement

With Brighton, who are presently sixth in the standings, Roberto De Zerbi has demonstrated his abilities in the Premier League. The 43-year-old might turn out to be an excellent addition for Liverpool. However, the club hierarchy will need to support him in the transfer market. It’s no secret that the Red half of Merseyside are in a need of a rebuild.

Although De Zerbi is still a good manager, Liverpool must get better players in the summer since he cannot be counted on to work miracles at the Merseyside club. Nonetheless, it would be rather unexpected if the club administration opted to give up on Klopp after just one disappointing season.

Since joining Liverpool, the German has excelled and has contributed to the Reds winning every club title. Additionally, under his leadership, Liverpool have played some of their best football in the contemporary period. And Klopp has solidified his status as a club legend and a favorite of the supporters.

The Liverpool supporters will not be pleased if FSG opted to replace him after the season. Indeed, a manager of such high caliber, the German can restore order at Anfield with the correct transfer support.

The Reds should ideally try to stick with Klopp and give him a lot of support in the transfer market at the end of the campaign. He might reshape Liverpool into a Premier League title contender with the proper additions. As Antonio Conte’s future is up in the air, De Zerbi has also drawn interest from Tottenham.
