It is one of those injury-prone seasons for Liverpool where the fans always keep an eye on the injury news and one of the players on that list is Naby Keita, who is yet to kick a ball this season. The Qatar World Cup has provided enough time for the Guinean international to recover fully.
Liverpool have had a topsy-turvy ride so far in the first half of the season. We have seen the Reds scoring 9 on a given day while at the other end the Merseyside have also lost to mediocre teams at Anfield (Despite Van Dijk starting). One of the reasons for such displays can be the inconsistency in the availability of the players.
Naby Keita is one of those who has been absent since the beginning of this season. The 27-year-old last featured as a substitute in Liverpool’s Community Shield triumph over Manchester City. Since then the £52 million signing from Leipzig [Echo], has suffered from a muscle injury.
However, Anfield Home is delighted to confirm that Keita has now fully recovered and will return to full training before the Reds lock horns with Lyon in the mid-season friendly.
According to James Pearce of The Athletic, Keita is finally fully fit again to make his presence felt in Dubai.

Pearce further added, Joel Matip has also been able to restore his full fitness thanks to the World Cup hiatus.
Looking at the Reds current standing in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp needed some boost for the second half of the season. And it looks like things have started falling in right place for the German.
The Red half of the Merseyside currently sits 6th in the Premier League table. The Reds are still 7 points behind 4th placed Tottenham and 15 points behind league leaders Arsenal. Matip and Keita will surely help Klopp in improving the Reds league position.
