According to CaughtOffside, Bayern Munich midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly set to ask his current club to join Liverpool for the next season.

According to Christian Falk, the 20-year-old is willing to push for a summer transfer in order to play for the Reds.

The Dutch player is one of the best youngsters in the footballing world and was a crucial part of Ten Haag’s Ajax, before moving to one of the biggest clubs in the world. But ever since his move to Bayern, things haven’t gone as desired for the former Ajax man.

He has had to settle for a spot on the bench for the most part of the season and has only played 726 minutes of football for the Munchen club.

It is evident of his frustration with the lack of game time. And ever since Liverpool have shown interest, the Dutchman is keen on a switch to Anfield.

It was also reported that the Merseyside club have no problems meeting the midfielder’s wage demands. It seems now as a matter of time before we see an official statement from all the parties.

‘Gravenberch keeps pushing for Liverpool’: Falk

With Klopp looking for midfield reinforcements for the next season, Gravenberch looks to be a perfect box-to-box midfielder. They remain keen on his services and are in a position to offer him more playtime in the first team.

The journalist for BILD has revealed that Gravenbrech has asked for more playtime from Bayern. Should the German giants fail to meet his demands, he would be willing to evaluate his options this summer.

“Ryan Gravenberch keeps pushing. Either he gets more playing time or he wants to change.

Liverpool have made it clear to him that Jurgen Klopp wants him. Gravenberch will ask Bayern to leave for Liverpool if Tuchel cannot convince him to stay.”

The Dutch would surely be a regular first-team player under Klopp with the dearth in the position for the Reds. Moreover, Gravenberch’s game would surely improve under Klopp as he is known to improve players.

However, a lot would depend on the newly appointed, Thomas Tuchel, who spoke about the Dutchman’s situation. The German said that the player needs to be patient and wait for his chance amidst speculations regarding his future.

Could Gravenberch be a good fit for the Reds?

Gravenberch would be a perfect fit for Klopp’s side and also could be a long-time midfield solution. The physicality and his defensive abilities are great and he could be a box-to-box midfielder.

He has 11 caps for the Netherlands and looks to be a promising talent. Moreover, he has been a Dutch champion with Ajax thrice and has also won the Dutch Cup twice.

Completing this transfer would be a good way to put up a statement for the next season for Liverpool.
