Liverpool are rumored to be interested in acquiring Juventus forward Federico Chiesa, and there may be an opportunity to get him at a discounted price.

Price Drop!!

Juventus are facing off-field issues and financial troubles, which could lead to the sale of several players this summer and Chiesa is not happy with Allegri and his tactics.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Chiesa could be available for a bargain price of £36.5m, a figure that both Liverpool and Bayern Munich are likely to consider. GDS are claiming that a bid of approximately €45 million would be sufficient to initiate negotiations with Juventus, translating to the aforementioned price.

Praise from Ronaldo and Buffon

Chiesa has been an integral player for both Juventus and the Italian national team over multiple seasons.

His standout performances during Italy’s successful Euro 2020 campaign earned him praise from his teammate Gigi Buffon, who described him as “very special.” Chiesa’s talent has also caught the attention of Cristiano Ronaldo, who reportedly wanted him at Manchester United.

Where to fit Chiesa in the Liverpool line-up?

Although Liverpool already has several options in the attacking positions, adding Chiesa would provide more quality and depth to the team. The challenge for manager Jurgen Klopp would be determining the best role for Chiesa within the squad. His versatility allows him to play across the front line, but Klopp would need to find a system that maximizes Chiesa’s abilities alongside the existing players.

Injury Issues

Chiesa’s value has fluctuated due to his injury troubles in recent times. Juventus initially valued him at €70-80m after his impressive performances in the Euro 2020 final, but they are now willing to sell him for a package worth around €30-35 million, including bonuses.

Federico Chiesa: Church by Name, Savior by Nature

Despite his injury setbacks, when fully fit and firing, Chiesa can be a menace to opposition defenses and showcased his abilities in the Euro 2020 final before getting injured.

The former Fiorentina graduate prefers to play from the right wing, but he can also comfortably operate from the left side of the attack or as a second striker. His versatility would make him a quality signing.

Securing Chiesa’s services would be a coup for Liverpool, especially considering the relatively low price tag. His talent, versatility, and potential make him an attractive prospect for any top European club.

With the endorsement of Cristiano Ronaldo and his reputation as one of Italy’s brightest talents, Chiesa’s arrival would further strengthen Liverpool’s squad and add another exceptional player to their ranks.
