Jarell Quansah embraces the system of new Liverpool coach Arne Slot, reflecting on his breakthrough season, aiming to improve, and highlighting the exciting changes ahead.
Youngster’s Breakthrough Season And Reflections
Jarell Quansah is still processing his remarkable breakthrough season at Liverpool.
Just a year ago, he was on loan at Bristol Rovers, and now, he’s reflecting on scoring the final goal of Jurgen Klopp’s tenure and helping Liverpool secure the Carabao Cup.
Quansah’s season began with a significant performance against Newcastle, where he helped Liverpool secure a comeback victory.
He also received an England call-up for the Euros, though he didn’t make the final squad.
“I was waiting for the moment for it to click and stuff like that, but I don’t think I’m going to get used to what happened last season,”
he admitted.
Quansah Adapting To Slot At Liverpool
Now 21, Quansah is gearing up for another season, this time under new coach Arne Slot.
Slot’s arrival has brought a fresh style of play, which Quansah finds aligns well with his strengths.
“It’s good. I think a lot of my strengths can be shown in the system he likes to play,”
he shared.
Despite the change, Quansah remains unfazed and focused on continuous improvement.
“I’m always a person who wants to improve and kick on,”
he said.
Slot’s style emphasizes possession, which suits Quansah’s preferences, but he acknowledges there’s still much to work on.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, Quansah is determined to keep growing and become the best version of himself.
His summer reflections have driven him to focus on both the positives and negatives of his past performances, aiming for consistent improvement.
“I just try to take it all in and try to improve for the next season really. That’s what my reflecting sort of told me,”
he reflected.
As he adjusts to Slot’s methods, Quansah remains optimistic and eager to showcase his abilities under the new system.
“Although this season sees a new coach and a new style of play, I think it’ll suit us and these are exciting times,”
he concluded.
