The former Aston Villa player, Alan Hutton has urged FSG to back Klopp financially for the next season, ‘after all he has done for the club’.

Liverpool are far off the top 4 spots and with 10 games remaining in the league, they face an uphill battle in securing a CL spot for the next season.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said the Reds will stick with Klopp for the foreseeable future.

Also, the Reds have won just 2 of their 5 league games and are 10 points off the 4th place Man Utd. However, the major reason for the squad’s inconsistency this season is due to the injuries to the main players.

The likes of Thiago, and Diaz, are set to return soon, whereas the young sensation, Bajcetic has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Moreover, the midfield has been inconsistent and the likes of Fabinho and Henderson have underperformed for the most part.

This is one of the main reasons that Klopp is looking for a midfield overhaul for the next season. But for this, the German needs to be backed financially by FSG.

‘Of course, they will stick with him’: Alan Hutton on Klopp

While speaking to Football Insider, Alan Hutton urged the same from the Liverpool owners.

He will know that, everybody will know that they need investment within the playing squad.

It has not been the best season for them, it has been very up and down but I think when you have periods like this, it takes time. You have off-seasons.

Of course they will stick with him. He is a great manager, he gets the best out of every single player, it has just not quite worked this year.

It is a big summer for them coming up, I think they will have to heavily re-invest and I think they will. They will support the manager after everything he has done for the club.“

With some big-money signings in the likes of Bellingham, Mac Allister, Mount, and a few others, Klopp would expect FSG to help with the necessary funding.
