Even though Liverpool are one of the big names in the world football market, PSG’s chief executive Nassar Al-Khelaifi might not be interested in the English giants.

The Paris side are currently owned by Qatar Sports Investment, the Qatar government’s own financial hedge fund. The club is being backed by one of the world’s strongest economic powers, with combined wealth expanding into the above nine figures.

However, the PSG owner admits that the club would welcome investment from outside the club to purchase a minor stake in the club. This will cause concern at Liverpool.

The owners are in discussions with groups from Saudi Arabia and Qatar about a sale. PSG’s announcement convinces them to withdraw their interest in the Merseyside outfit.

Khelaifi to sell PSG?

PSG owners’ discussion for the sale with Saudi Arabia and Qatar groups. The Les Persians announcement could result in a big blow to the Merseyside outfit.

“We received an offer of more than 4 billion (euros) but we are not going to sell, of course, just a percentage of the club, we will think about it,”

Al-Khelaifi told TalkSport.

PSG were acquired for £62M and since then value continue to rise. They signed some of the best players in the world which continued their Ligue 1 domination. Players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi have helped them to acquire global football fans.

“ We took the club at 70 million euros and today it’s over 4 billion euros.”

stated by Al-Khelafi.

What is next for Liverpool?

On the other hand, Liverpool are looking to inject a few young prospects into their squad. Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is one of the young prospects that LFC wants in their squad, however, his £100M price tag causing an issue for the English giants.

Will Liverpool be able to sign the young English sensation or will Real Madrid have them in their claim?
