Liverpool vs West Ham United: Player Ratings
Goal Keepers and Defenders
Alisson Becker (GK) – 9/10
Late in the game, after some subpar defending from those in front of him, he made a fantastic flying save to deny Tomas Soucek.
greatly made the group win, especially since the attackers could not score a second goal.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) – 7/10
back in the lineup to take the place of Milner, who began against City and gave a superb performance.
Trent took the chance to reaffirm his authority in the role. There weren’t any really standout defensive performances from him. Instead, he simply did his job and did it well.
Joel Gomez (CB) – 6/10
Gomez didn’t have the best game after a stellar effort on Sunday. But he did become a little better in the second half, which is positive for future games.
Virgil van Dijk (CB) – 8.5/10
seems to be back to his peak.
prevailing in all kinds of scuffles with the diverse West Ham assault, from target man Gianluca Scamacca to the more challenging Bowen.
Kostas Tsimikas (LB) – 8/10
fought in a defensive duel with the vivacious Bowen and held his own throughout.
played a fantastic cross for Nunez to score the game’s first goal that was nearly impossible for West Ham to stop.
Midfielders
Jordan Henderson (CM)- 8/10
early on, heavily involved. advancing with the ball into the open area in front of him. He had more touches at the game’s conclusion than any other player.
Thiago (CM) – 7.5/10
Having him frequently start is beneficial because it enables him to establish a routine over a stretch of games and become the dominating midfielder Liverpool needs.
Forwards
Fabio Carvalho (LW) – 7/10
In this 4-4-2/ 4-2-4, he seems to be a suitable Diogo Jota replacement down the left wing. isn’t quite as direct a danger as Jota may be at times. But he still gives something in exchange.
Roberto Firmino (CF) – 7.5/10
was intermittently active but remained a crucial linkup player and selfless runner.
a left-footed shot was broad in the first half, then wide after being deflected.
Darwin Nunez (CF) – 8.5/10
an excellent header from Kostas’s cross to start the scoring. The Uruguayan was well-found thanks to a beautiful ball in. But the header wasn’t simple, and he did an excellent job with it.
had a beautiful half-volley that struck the post from the edge of the box. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring in more.
Mohamed Salah (RW) – 7.5/10
Thilo Kehrer’s pulling him back in the second half led to an unusual foul being called in his favor.
He is a center forward who exhibits tremendous strength and hold-up play.
Almost struck late on. But Fabianski was able to step in after his slightly overhit first touch.
Substitutes
Elliot (CM)- 6.5/10
worked assiduously on the right wing in defense, supporting Trent and pressing high when necessary.
Curtis Jones (CM)- 6/10
Observed a corner shot deflect over the bar. He seems like he would be helpful in this formation’s left side.
Fabinho (CM) – 5.5/10
was rotated several times and never fully settled. should have done better for the last-second opportunity Alisson saved. Poor cameo; not up to his standards.
Milner (CM) – N/A
That was a great block to stop Soucek at the end.
Andy Robertson (LB) – N/A
Additional quality was added to the left to keep things on the ball.
