Arsenal vs Liverpool FC: Player Ratings
Goal Keepers and Defenders
Alisson Becker (GK) – 6/10
Alisson was innocent of Arsenal’s goals and was his usual calm self between the posts.
Throughout, his distribution was consistent. And as time went on, he displayed some good corner decision-making.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) – 4/10
More concerns about Alexander-defense Arnold’s are made after another game.
The 24-year-old played poorly in Bukayo Saka’s goal by rushing across to Gabriel Martinelli, displaying a lack of intelligence.
Simply needs to improve and was rightfully taken off at halftime.
Joel Matip (CB) – 5.5/10
The center-back was unable to keep composure both in and out of possession, And in the second half, he gave a poor performance that had him all over the place.
As a result, Ibrahima Konate had to take his place under Jurgen Klopp.
Virgil van Dijk (CB) – 5/10
Despite some positives, the Dutchman still doesn’t quite resemble the all-powerful force he once was.
Kostas Tsimikas (LB) – 5.5/10
Tsimikas once more took Andy Robertson’s position due to injury. Although this was a lacklustre performance from him.
Midfielders
Henderson (CM) – 5/10
While there was some potential on display in a two-man midfield with Thiago, Henderson’s propensity to go outside of his position once again proved to be expensive.
When Martinelli struck in the opening minute, the captain was in a no-man’s-land and gave Martin Odegaard too much room.
Thiago (CM) – 6.5/10
A joy to see the play. Thiago was one of Liverpool’s better players against the Gunners.
His skill with the ball was superior to that of any other midfielder on the field. Although he made a poor tackle just before Saka’s goal.
Forwards
Mohamed Salah (RW) – 6/10
Salah hasn’t done at all well this season. And this was another game where he was largely inactive.
Except for one risky dribble in the first half, the Egyptian King was reserved and appeared unconfident when attacking.
Darwin Nunez (CF) – 5/10
Nunez put up his most incredible performance in a Liverpool shirt to date. And was unquestionably the day’s biggest plus.
The Uruguayan struck the first goal for the Reds, finishing expertly in front of the goal. And throughout the game, he had good movement and quickness.
Diogo Jota (CF) – 5/10
Jota kept his spot and put up a strong performance as one of Liverpool’s best players.
He set up Roberto Firmino for the Reds’ second goal by sending a deft pass into the Brazilian. And he consistently had the air of someone about to accomplish something.
Luis Diaz (LW) – 5/10
Diaz was another who felt to be a severe threat. But sadly, an injury ended his afternoon.
Substitutes
Roberto Firmino (CF) – 7/10
Firmino was remarkably quiet aside from his fantastic goal to make it 2-2.
Joe Gomez (CB) – 5.5/10
Superior to Trent on defense. But still far from perfect.
Konate (CB) – 6.5/10
In his first season appearance, he was generally strong.
Fabinho (CM) – 7/10
a tidy possession that is neat.
Elliot (CM) – N/A
There wasn’t much time for him to create an impression.
