Mo Salah has recently spoken about the ‘speculation’ going around him with the contract talks. As offers from big-money clubs make their way, Salah talks, about how that is secondary and his primary objective is the current season with Liverpool.
Liverpool is currently at the junction of, Three competitions and has a good chance to win them all.
Mo Salah discusses his future and contract
Mo Salah, whose current contract goes till 2023, would look to ‘extend’ it or ‘move out’ after the current season ends.
With PSG also coming in the race for Salah as reported days ago and ‘offering-double’ of what Liverpool was offering.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has provided a statement that “the decisive parties are talking”. If Klopp loses his player he will soon have to find a replacement for the Egyptian, as ‘rumours of Bellingham’ are doing the rounds as well.
Salah describes the situation as “A Sensitive one”
Mo Salah in a recent interview with Sky Sports, when he was asked about a “new” Liverpool deal, he said,
I can’t say yes and I can’t say no. I have said many times before what I want.
Can’t really go deep into the contract now because it is a sensitive situation, the team needs to win and I can’t be in the news and talk about the contract, no. I just focus on the team.
He went on to speak about how ‘Contract Talks’ don’t affect his preparation for the ‘upcoming crucial matches’ for Liverpool, and his talks with the Gaffer,
No, not at all, I talk to the manager from time to time, I’m very professional (and) know my job very well.
I‘m almost the first one here (At practice sessions) and the last one to leave. I know what I am doing. I’m not bothered about that, I am just focusing on the team.
That is the most important thing for me, the focus to win trophies and I am giving everything for this club.
With Mo Salah being professional and not giving anything much about his future, and looking completely focussed towards the Team, only time could tell what would happen after this Season.
