“I can’t see myself ever playing against Liverpool” – Mohamed Salah.

The World of Football is buzzing around currently, after Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah express his desire to end his career with Liverpool Football Club in the latest interview with Sky Sports.

The Egyptian International has been in scintillating form for Liverpool since his 34 million arrival from AS Roma in 2017. Thereafter, Salah has scored 137 goals in 214 games for the Reds so far.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Salah said:

It does not depend with me. If you ask me, I would love to stay until the last day of my football [career], but I can’t say much, it’s not in my hands.

It depends on what the club wants, not what depends with me. At the moment, I can’t see myself ever playing against Liverpool, that would make me sad.

It’s hard, I don’t want to talk about it. It would make me really sad, at the moment, I don’t see myself against Liverpool but let’s see what happens in the future.

Mohamed Salah deserves a bumper deal to extend his stay at Liverpool till the end.

The 29-year-old’s current contract with Liverpool ends in the summer of 2023. There have been talks regarding extending Salah’s stay at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Salah admits his love and passion for the club. And clearly wants to spend the rest of his career in Liverpool but accepts it all depends on the club.

Mohamed Salah is in outstanding form with 12 goals in 11 games this season so far. And Salah and his representative are expecting a new contract that pays him around £400,000 a week which would represent a significant hike on his current terms.

The Egyptian International is the fastest player to score 100 goals for Liverpool and the first Liverpool player to score in nine consecutive games. And also the fifth-fastest player to score 100 Premier League goals.

In the last few weeks, Salah’s majestic goals against Manchester City and Watford are also contenders for goal of the season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp described Salah as “the best player in the world at the moment” several times this season.

Liverpool have already extended contracts with Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Andy Robertson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold in recent months.

And Salah is the next in line as American Owners Fenway Sports Group, will have to sanction the most lucrative contract in the club’s history to secure Salah’s long-term future.
