Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has deemed the transfer price for Erling Haaland to be ‘crazy’. It showed that Liverpool is nowhere interested in that amount and will not go anywhere near the ‘expected’ fee of over 300m euros.
With teams across Europe wanting to get the 21-year-old from Borussia Dortmund, it surely is not going to be easy ‘financially’.
Klopp putting his views on Haaland and the prices which revolve around him
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that he is not interested to land the Norwegian at Liverpool, because of his ‘exorbitant price tag’.
The manager when asked about going for Haaland in the transfer window, went on to say,
We will not be going near there. The figures being mentioned are crazy. We have nothing to do with them. No Chance.
To be honest, that’s something I honestly don’t want. That’s no fun at all.
Erling Haaland – The ‘extraordinary Talent’
Haaland is one of the most promising talents going around, a pure ‘goal machine’.
The attacking centre forward was bought by Borussia Dortmund in the 19-20 season from RB Salzburg, who had scored 29 goals in 27 games for the Austrian side.
While for the German club, Erling Haaland has been an absolute ‘Beast’ in front of the goal, having scored 80 goals in just 83 appearances.
Fierce competition for Haaland
Various Top European clubs are extremely ‘interested and keen on getting the player into their squad. The top ones are Manchester City, Spanish Giants Real Madrid and French powerhouse Paris Saint Germain.
Man City are thought to be in lead to sign the 21-year-old, whereas the Madrid side is also pretty interested in bagging him. PSG, who seem to be in a race to sign all ‘top players, who were also interested in Mo Salah has stood firm for Haaland as well. Haaland in PSG could make sense considering Kylian Mbappe ‘most likely to leave the club.
With Liverpool Manager officially confirming not ‘trying’ for Haaland, the race between other clubs to sign Erling could be ‘very fierce and tough’.
