A new wall mural enshrines at Anfield, Liverpool in honor of the former number 9 and record scorer of the Reds Ian Rush.
The new mural, designed by MurWalls, pays tribute to the former No.9 Ian Rush. The Welsman is Liverpool’s record scorer registering 346 goals in all competitions for the Reds. The former Liverpool No. 9 played across two spells from 1980 to 1986 and 1988 to 1996.
The artwork has been in a prime location on the wall of a house right opposite Anfield’s Main Stand, on the corner of Alroy Road.
Excellent work of art is created and designed by MurWalls, to add more spotlight to the Anfield area.
So far murals of the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Jordan Henderson, Mo Salah, and Trent Alexander Arnold from the current squad moreover, legends such as Ray Clemence, Ian St. John, Steven Gerrard, Alan Hansen, and Steven Gerrard are visible across Liverpool.
The official unveiling of Ian Rush’s mural will be at midday on Thursday. Liverpool plays Wolves on Sunday, and the mural will be complete by then.
Meanwhile, in an intriguing battle for the league title, Klopp’s men will fight on Sunday in the final league tie. Liverpool are currently just a point behind Man City (90 points) in the league standings.

Ian Rush played for Liverpool in two stints and both the spells were very highly anticipated. The Welsman stands tall with his number of goals registering 346 goals in 660 appearances for the Reds.
Moreover, the Rush is also Liverpool’s most FA Cup and League Cup goalscorer. Meanwhile, in the league, he just went short by 15 goals to Roger Hunt who scored the most goals (244)in League for the Red Merseysiders.
In his trophy-laden career at Liverpool, Ian Rush has won the League five times, FA Cup thrice, League Cup five times, and European Cup twice.
Moreover, individual awards such as PFA Young Player of the year, PFA Players’ Player of the Year, and many prestigious honors have been presented to the Liverpool legend.
