Neil Harris has announced that Calum Scanlon is back
Arne Slot has prepared the Liverpool squad well and has shuffled the deck with newcomers, senior stars, and key players. However, there’s one young player who could not make it into the first lineup, and he is out due to a severe injury on the back.
Now, Millwall manager Neil Harris has declared that Calum Scanlon is back in Liverpool. Last year, Calum made his senior debut against Toulouse in the Europa League. He is a gem in the youth section. We could even see him springing in action against Las Palmas in the pre-season preparations of the Merseyside Club.
While he was speaking to the Lancashire Post, Harris declared that Scanlon has returned due to his back stress fracture.
“We’re very disappointed to lose him because he was something completely different to what we’ve got in the squad as a very attacking-minded full-back.
He’s gone back to Liverpool to be treated in the short and mid-term.”
We might probably see the youngster in action any time soon. Furthermore, Harris went on to reveal that Scanlon is receiving treatments for his injury.
“He’s going to be rescanned at six weeks and then we’ll have a better idea how long he’s going to be, whether he’s going to be back soon after that, or whether it’s going to be an extended period. Anything past that is not a discussion at the moment.”
