Liverpool set to announce fourth summer signing after player fly to UK for medical

Liverpool’s transfer window is heating up, and the latest name heading to Anfield is Milos Kerkez. The 21-year-old left-back is set to become the Reds’ fourth signing of the summer after flying into the UK for a medical.

Kerkez, currently on international duty, is travelling from Belgrade, Serbia, to complete the final steps of his move from Bournemouth. Once the medical is done, Liverpool are expected to confirm the signing within 24 hours.

The Reds have agreed to pay around £40 million for the Hungarian defender, making him the second-most expensive defender in club history, only behind Virgil van Dijk. The deal includes add-ons that could take the final fee even higher.

As per the latest updates, Milos Kerkez is set to become Liverpool’s newest Red. The Hungarian left-back was spotted with his family en route to Merseyside, with the deal expected to be officially signed and sealed on Tuesday.

An exclusive first image of Kerkez donning Liverpool colours has emerged, confirming the “Here we go!” moment. Slot’s side looks to have added another exciting talent to bolster their backline ahead of the new season.

What Milos Kerkez bring to Liverpool?

Kerkez is coming off a standout season at Bournemouth, where he started every Premier League match in the 2024–25 campaign. The full-back didn’t just defend—he delivered six goals and added two assists. That kind of form has clearly caught Liverpool’s eye.

“Milos Kerkez is flying into the United Kingdom today to complete a medical ahead of his move to Liverpool from Bournemouth,” reported David Ornstein of The Athletic.

Kerkez will sign a five-year contract with the Premier League champions, who have already brought in three players this summer. He joins fellow Hungarian Armin Pecsi, as well as Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

This transfer also works out well for Bournemouth, who turned a tidy profit after signing Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar last summer for around £15.5 million. They’ve already lined up Rennes defender Adrien Truffert as his replacement.

If all goes as planned, Liverpool fans could be hearing the announcement on Tuesday. And with Kerkez’s arrival, the Reds continue to build a squad ready to defend their crown—and attack down the left like never before.
