Arsenal and Liverpool both have met several times this season, and again these two English giants face each other at Emirates in midweek.
Klopp’s men recovered well from the Inter Milan loss to beat Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend. And now they travel to North London to face resurgent Arsenal in an anticipated Premier League tie.
It’s a battle between second and fourth in the league standings.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had an easy win against the Seagulls with League top scorer Mo Salah and new boy Luis Diaz were on the scoresheet. Mo Salah extended his goal-scoring tally to 20 goals in this season’s Premier League.
Victory at the Amex stadium makes it a straight eighth Premier League win and third top-flight clean sheet on the bounce for the rampant Reds.
Klopp & Co. now travel again to North London, for an anticipated Premier League tie. Previously, in their last visit to Emirates Liverpool defeated Arteta’s men 2-0 to progress to the EFL Cup final. And later, went on to win the competition at Wembly to registered their record 9th EFL Cup success.
Meanwhile, Arteta’s Arsenal have impressed so far in the season. Having started poorly into the season Arsenal started to get into the rhythm slowly. Now looks likely to finish into the top four for the first time since the 2015/16 season.
But it’s too early to say, as 10 more games are yet to play. And won’t be surprised if Arsenal bottles it at the very death. But the renovation work Arteta has done with the group it’s quite commendable. Arteta has built a young squad and moreover plays attractive football.
Gunners are having a stellar run of five consecutive Premier League victories. Arsenal are scoring at least two goals in each of their last four in the English top flight.
Meanwhile, only Liverpool and Man City have performed better at home fixtures than Arsenal.
Surely, it’s certainly a good time for Arsenal fans because they feel on their day Arsenal can beat any team in the world. And certainly, next season’s Champions League spot is up for grabs.
A tough away trip is expected for the Reds.
League’s top scorer Mo Salah remains a major doubt for the fixture. Having picked up a foot injury after scoring the penalty against Brighton on Sunday.
Even though Klopp does not believe the issue is too serious, Reds fans will have to wait and see.
Diogo Jota will take up Salah’s place if the Egyptian misses on midweek.
Defender Ibrahima Konate missed last weekend’s tie at South Coast, and it remains to be seen whether he features against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Gunners should be looking to end their scoreless streak against the Reds. Arteta’s men have failed to score a single goal against Liverpool in the previous meetings this season.
A tough challenge from the home side is expected against the Reds.
