EFL Cup fixtures are back as Liverpool welcomes Leicester City at Anfield for the quarterfinals of the competition. Liverpool last won the Cup a decade ago but still, they remain the joint-most successful club in the competition’s history.

Manchester City are recently the monopoly winners of the EFL Cup, winning it six times in the last eight seasons. But with defending champions out in the previous round of the competition, Liverpool will be keeping an eye on the Cup.

Divock Origi, Nat Phillips, Adrian, and Harvey Elliott will continue to remain sidelined with all the four Reds injured.

The visitors are unlikely to be coming up against a full-strength Liverpool side. Youngster Tyler Morton and veteran James Milner are likely to retain their place in the starting eleven. As Oxlade Chamberlain will be eyeing his place in the starting lineup.

Takumi Minamino is Liverpool’s highest goal scorer in the competition so far will surely return to playing eleven against Leicester.

Irish goalie Kelleher will take his position in between the post, with Joe Gomez likely to start for the first time after recovering from a calf injury.
