A trip back to Elland Road proved to be a delight for Liverpool as they beat Leeds United by 3 goals to nil in a match full of intensity with no seats left empty in the stadium.

The energy level rose as the game progressed. From the first blow of the whistle till the last kick of the ball, the crowd never let the energy levels to be dropped. Maintaining an electrifying atmosphere in the stadium, it was always going to be a difficult trip for Liverpool.

It took just 20 minutes into the game for Liverpool to break the deadlock. In doing so, the Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah scored his 100th Premier League goal in just 162 appearances. Thus, making him only the 2nd African to do so. Meanwhile, Leeds continued to attack but could find the finishing touch at the end.

The second half begins with an early goal for the Reds. Trent put a delightful ball into the box from a corner, which saw Fabinho scoring with a tap-in. Thereafter, giving the former Premier League champions a two-goal cushion.

With the increasing intensity of the game, Leeds defender Pascal Struijk got involved in a rash tackle on Harvey Elliott. Thus this eventually resulted in a red card for the Dutch defender and an injury for the England midfielder.

Meanwhile, Mane looked frustrated throughout the game. But as the game progressed, Liverpool’s winger finally got himself on the score-sheet. Apart from the injury, it was a perfect result for Liverpool, making them the joint table-toppers alongside Chelsea and Manchester United.
