Luis Suarez has shared a message about Darwin Nunez after their FIFA World Cup training.

Luis Suarez posted on his Instagram story, “mates after training,” that he had just finished with his national team. He was seen with Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez following Uruguay’s World Cup training.

Liverpool supporters might just see the pair starting together for Uruguay at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. One is a former Red, and the other is trying to make a name for himself on Merseyside.

Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea are in Uruguay’s mouthwatering-looking group along with Uruguay.

Wearing the Portugal jersey, Cristiano Ronaldo will aim for one more opportunity to shine. And an old opponent from Ghana will be seeking retribution for Suarez’s handball at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Suarez and Darwin Nunez are ready to fire

There was a lot of discussion surrounding Nunez’s high-profile summer move to Liverpool. And perhaps there was a minor overreaction to his performances.

Even if the 23-year-old got off to a far better start than what is being implied, there was perhaps a little too much criticism of him.

After scoring twice in Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Southampton before Premier League play was suspended, he is headed to the Middle East.

He has scored nine goals overall from 18 games across all competitions. Moreover, it is rather impressive for a guy that is under scrutiny.

However, Nunez has now been allowed to perform on the most significant stage in the world since both he and Suarez will wreak havoc in the final third.

Suarez is in the twilight of his career. He has won everything there is to win. Moreover, he has made left his mark on every club.

Suarez was a monster at Liverpool. He almost single-handedly won them the EPL title before moving to FC Barcelona and forming Football’s greatest-ever trio alongside Messi and Neymar.
