Luis Diaz and Colombia are set to take on Bolivia on Friday and ahead of the match the Colombian manager has accused Bolivia of spying.
Colombian football team travel to Bolivia to play their 9th World Cup qualifier match at the Estadio Municipal El Alto in Bolivia.
Luis Diaz and Colombia accuse Bolivia of spying
Manager Nestor Lorenzo via Gol Caracol:
“It’s unfortunate that they send you to spy and all that , I don’t know where it came from or who it was, but we identified him, we have photos and we will file a complaint about the case.”
“Of course, one wants to train with the discretion that is deserved, and what happened was a breach of the team’s privacy. We have photographs of the entire person, we will see how we proceed in the next few hours,”
The Colombia National team has filed an official complaint, but Bolivia team manager Oscar Villegas has played down the accusation.
Bolivia is not an easy place to play for any team due to the altitude issue. Same will be the case for Luis Diaz and his Colombia teammates. The Bolivia national team stadium is located 4000 meters above sea level.
The Colombian team were warned that Bolivia would try to over inflate the balls. Also a Colombian trainer had issues entering the country.
Luis Diaz and Colombia comfortably sit 2nd in the points table behind Argentina with 16 points. But a win at Bolivia is not an easy task.
