Diaz provides an injury update since his last match against Arsenal. His absence on the pitch has been felt over and over.
Diaz shares his injury update and he is eager to be back on the pitch soon
Due to a severe knee injury, Luis Diaz will miss the rest four games before the World Cup. The Liverpool winger is working diligently to recuperate.
Since the 3-2 loss to Arsenal on October 9, Diaz has been unavailable and has been unable to compete against Rangers, Man City, West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Ajax, and Leeds.
His absence, coupled with Diogo Jota‘s, prompted Jurgen Klopp to switch from a flat 4-4-2 to a diamond formation. This adjustment was felt severely.
The manager claimed that Roberto Firmino, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah are now being “overplayed.” And it is obvious that Diaz’s return could not come soon enough.
A possible return date for Luis Diaz
Liverpool’s No. 23 still has a long way to get back on the turf. However, the team is hoping that he will be ready for the Boxing Day trip to Aston Villa. As he demonstrated in a post on his Instagram story on Saturday, Diaz is diligently working on his recuperation at the AXA Training Center.
In order to start the reloading procedure on his left leg, Diaz is presently focusing on light strength and training exercises. Diaz is still compelled to wear a knee brace outside of the gym.
Despite his prolonged absence, the winger is in good spirits. And his optimistic outlook no doubt has helped him get through a trying spell in the hospital.
Earlier this month, Diaz pledged to “come back stronger” after this setback despite avoiding surgery as a result of his altercation with Thomas Partey.
Klopp & Co. are in desperate need of a vacation after playing every game possible in the previous season and having such a demanding schedule this season. Thus, injury recoveries must occur quickly so that the lineup can regain its previous versatility.
