Liverpool’s £77.7M Bid REJECTED! Why this star winger stayed!
Liverpool set their sight on the German sensational winger Florian Writz, who rejected the huge offer by the Reds and has decided to stay in Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool’s prevailing problems were exposed in their recent Premier League match against Nottingham Forest, they lost 1-0 to Forest at Anfield.
Despite their strong interest in top players, their first defeat of the season highlights a larger concern about the squad’s lack of reinforcement.
German winger rejecting Liverpool
Wirtz declined to leave Bayer Leverkusen where he has flourished under Xabi Alonso and contributed to the team’s outstanding performance last season despite Liverpool reportedly making a sizable offer of £77.7 million earlier this year.
With three goals in three league games so far this season and two goals for Germany at the European Championships Wirtz has proven his worth as a potential world-class No 10.
It could be wise for the Reds to re-examine their pursuit of Wirtz in light of Liverpool’s present midfield woes and Szoboszlai’s inconsistent play.
His ability to infuse the midfield with creativity and stability could solve some of the Reds’ urgent problems and give them a much-needed boost as they strive to remain competitive all season long.
Fans are hoping that their club will again pursue Florian Writz with a much better offer, the Reds are in desperate need of squad depth reinforcement to compete at the highest level.
Will Liverpool be able to find the perfect player additions to fix their prevailing problems?
