Fabinho, Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino will not be allowed to play this Sunday when Liverpool takes on Leeds United.

The reason being, Brazil has asked FIFA to fine Premier League clubs for not releasing their players to return to Brazil for international competition. Under FIFA law, players who are not allowed to play for their country are banned for 5 days after the end of the international break.

As it stands, Liverpool will be without Fabinho, Alisson and Firmino on Sunday. Meanwhile, Leeds will be missing the service of their attacking midfielder Raphinha.

However, the trio will be available for the Champions League group opener at home to face AC Milan on Wednesday. Apart from the Liverpool trio, Machester City and Chelsea will also be missing Ederson and Thiago Silva respectively.

How could Liverpool manage the line-up vs Leeds

Apart from Alisson, the Reds have two Premier League experienced keepers in name of Adrian and Loris Karius. Karius last appearance was in the Champions League final against Real Madrid. But Adrian is more likely choice because he plays under the study of Jurgen Klopp and Alisson for the past two seasons.

Fabinho may be more difficult to replace for Klopp. Because he is the key player who plays a good role in the midfield. ‘James Milner, Curtis Jones, Naby Kieta and Thiago Alcantara’ are available in the squad for his replacement. In the absence of Fabinho, Thiago will be the best choice available with Jurgen Klopp. As Thiago is creative in midfield and has good control on the ball just like Fabinho.

Meanwhile, Firmino is suffering from a hamstring injury which makes him out of selection either way. Attackers who are available for Reds against Leeds are, ‘Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Divock Origi.’ Jota will be a but obvious option to replace Firmino in the front line.

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Leeds

Formation 4-3-3

Goalkeeper – Adrian

Defence – Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip and Robertson

Midfield – Henderson, Elliot and Thiago

Forward – Salah, Mane and Jota.
