Even after the media tries to tear him apart, Slot and his techniques are taking LFC forward in their new season. However, the Liverpool Boss might suffer a setback, if Kostas Tsimikas develops a knee injury.
At the 81st minute, fans at Anfield spotted him leaving through the tunnel with his right knee covered. It was right after Robertson took over his position, and now, we are concerned for his future in upcoming matches.
Kostas Tsimikas can be injured after Liverpool West Ham clash
Apart from playing in the Premier and Champions League, our favourite stars from Anfield had their Carabao Cup yesterday. Arne Slot and his lineup put forward a stunning performance and ended the match with a 5-1 win over West Ham.
However, celebrations fell short soon after Liverpool fans spotted Kostas Tsimikas leaving with his right knee heavily strapped. Right now, Slot needs more options at the full-back especially when there’s crowded fixtures ahead. The Greek Star might not be a starter, but he is a reliable player. If this is an injury, LFC is destined to get a serious headache.
In the footage trending on social media, we saw Tsimikas leaving with his knee wrapped after the Liverpool vs West Ham match. To some fans, this is an injury after the 28-year-old dived across the turf for a diving header. Towards the end of the match, Kostas was getting quite aggressive with his defensive manoeuvres. That might have given him an injury.
However, this incident can create difficulties for the Merseyside Club. If Tsimikas develops a right knee injury, Liverpool will be in a lot of problem. There are big names like Alisson Becker, Calum Scanlon and a few others who are facing injuries.
Kostas just got his second opening with his debut in the EFL Cup match against the Hammers. What do you think? Is he really injured, or it is just a precaution?
