With no contract extension in place, Real Madrid are stepping up their efforts to sign Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer.
Trent’s contract lasts until June 2025, and he has not yet reached an agreement with the club for an extension.
Real Madrid has been monitoring Trent’s situation for over a month and their interest in signing Trent is genuine.
Real Madrid Increase Their Efforts To Sign Trent Alexander-Arnold
According to Christian Falk of BILD :
“Real Madrid is getting concrete with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Arnold has a contract til 2025, no contract extension at Liverpool yet.
The Player is interested, there is contact since month.”
A contract extension for Trent, Virgil van Dijk and Mohammed Salah should be priorities for the club before any signing.
Real Madrid had been monitoring Trent’s contract situation at Liverpool for over a month and have been a great admirer of the player.
With Euro 2024 coming to an end now would be a great time to start contract talks with Liverpool’s vice-captain.
Losing Trent Alexander-Arnold one of Liverpool’s best players and highly-rated talent would be a huge blow to the club.
Real Madrid have been looking to strengthen their right back area and Trent has been one of the names on their shortlist.
Dani Carvajal, currently in the best form of his career at 32 years old, will eventually need a replacement.
