Just like the CEO of Football at LFC said, August 2024 appears to be the busiest month in Anfield. Matt O’Riley might even move in with the Reds if Liverpool play their cards right.
Whatever happens, we will get the updates within these weeks. The pre-season tour is already underway and before the Premier League arrives, Slot wants to be ready.
Liverpool Planning To Bid For Matt O’Riley
Everything has seen a fresh start since LFC had a 1-0 win over Real Betis on Saturday. Although it was a friendly match, this win has tipped the scales for the Dutchman.
As reports are suggesting, Liverpool F.C. are doing their best to sign O’Riley.
The Celtic talent is worth £25 million right now. This 23-year-old central midfielder has 13 assists and 18 goals in the 2023/24 Scottish Premiership.
Although Matt O’Riley remains busy in the Denmark National team, he can be an asset for Liverpool.
On the Ranks FC Ultra podcast, Dean Jones praised him and commented on how talented O’Riley is. Their bond was not that much, but, it goes back to when Matt was a part of Fulham F.C.
“Matt O’Riley is a real character. I knew him a bit when he was at Fulham, and he’s very much his own lad, he’s very single-minded.“
According to Jones, the ex-Fulham talent is more than ready to make a good career move. Moreover, Liverpool are keeping an eye on Matt O’Riley, and the move can happen in reality.
“He wants to take another step up and it has to be right for him. I think there will be a part of him that is tempted to stay because he has such a good platform and he’s so loved.
Liverpool were linked to him at the weekend and I thought that was a bit different. If Liverpool are in for O’Riley he’ll have a chat with the old Fulham lads, Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho and before you know it they’re sat in the canteen together, I can see that one happening.”
