Liverpool are set to sign Alexis Mac Allister on a contract worth over €45M in this summer’s transfer window.

Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool: Done deal?

Liverpool lost the chance of signing Jude Bellingham, who is reportedly joining Real Madrid this season. Another report suggests that another target for the club, Mason Mount, is going to sign for Manchester United.

The club needed to reinforce their midfield the previous season but they did not. As a result, the Merseyside giants struggled this season to finish in the top 4 and eventually failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Liverpool has learned from their past mistakes and now they are trying to amend the past wrong-doings. They will contest in the UEFA Europa League. So they are trying to put up a strong midfield that will serve them well in the 2023-24 season and in the coming seasons.

The Reds have been linked with many midfielders this season and the Argentine is one of the many targets for the Merseysiders. According to Football Insider, Liverpool have agreed to personal terms worth over £150,000 a week, that will add up to £7.8M a year for the Argentine.

The news source has also mentioned that the Reds have almost sealed the deal for the World Cup-winning midfielder for almost €70M from Brighton and Hove Albion.

According to Sports journalist Garcia Grova of TyC, the 24-year-old will sign a deal until 2028. Thus, the worth of the five-year contract will add up to almost more than €45M.

The Latin American player wears No. 10 at Brighton and Hove Albion. So it is safe to speculate that he will be donning the no. 10 shirt at Liverpool as well. The previous owner of the shirt was Sadio Mane who won his first German League title this season.

The upcoming signings along with this one will be interesting to keep an eye on.
