Liverpool are closely monitoring the situation to bring the French winger Ousmane Dembele to Anfield.

Another day another transfer rumour. This time it’s quite the exciting one. Spanish outlet cuatro suggests that Liverpool will make a push to sign the Frenchmen.

The 24-year-old signed for FC Barcelona in 2017 as a replacement for the Brazillian superstar Neymar. Ever since making a £135million move, the player has struggled to make his impact in the Barca shirt due to fitness and injuries.

The Frenchman is yet to pen the contract extension at the Nou Camp. The club executives however are optimistic about him signing the contract as they consider him a key player. The La Liga giants are already struggling in the league and in Europe and want to bolster their attack, after their talisman, Messi made his move to PSG.

However, reports suggest that apparently, Ousmane feels alone now that his amigo Griezmann made a switch to his old club. Therefore, the Frenchman is having second thoughts and has asked his agent to find him a better offer.

Can Liverpool win the race for Dembele?

Barcelona’ financial woes might force them to offload Dembele and other high wage bill players. Thus, top clubs from around the world want to take the advantage of this situation and will try to sign the starlet.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus, and PSG are exploring their options to sign the speedy winger. And now Liverpool has also joined the race to sign the player.

The Reds want to increase their options in the attack and are considering a move for the Frenchmen. Apparently, Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the former Dortmund man and expressed his wish to sign the World Cup winner. But the Reds will face huge competition from their arch-rivals Manchester United and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

It’s still unclear that he’ll leave the Blaugranas, now that Messi is gone, he is pretty much needed to fill in his boots. The player is yet to decide on his future. While if Liverpool can pull out this move, he can be a great addition to the Reds. The German boss can use him with various options which will surely bring the fire in Liverpool’s attacking department.
