Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has revealed he could extend his stay at Salzburg to play the Club World Cup in June.
The U21 European Championship is also happening at the same time and Bajcetic has to decide between Club World Cup and European Championship.
Not a great start for Bajcetic so far at Salzburg, as Pepijn Lijnders‘ side struggling for results. Bajcetic has made 11 appearances for Salzburg so far.

Stefan Bajcetic to extend his stay at Salzburg?
Speaking to Marca Bajcetic explained:
“Being on loan at Salzburg and Liverpool not going to the Club World Cup, I have the option to choose between returning to Liverpool or playing the Club World Cup with Salzburg,” Said Stefan Bajcetic
“If I go back to Liverpool, I have the option to come to the U21 European Championship and that would be something I would really like to do. I missed the Olympics and European Championship last year due to injury, I have never been to a tournament like this with the national team, I am really looking forward to it.”

Stefan Bajcetic should decide between representing Salzburg or Spain. Bajcetic is yet to feature for his national side since September 2023. So he has a better chance at the Club World Cup.
The Club World Cup is set to take place between June 15 and July 13. The U21 Euros will take place between June 11 to 28. Either way he will miss Liverpool pre-season.
