It has been reported that the Reds have made a £43m ‘proposal’ to sign the Bayern midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch for the next season.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester United have also shown interest in signing the Dutch midfielder. Although the Manchester club is yet to put forward any formal offer for Gravenberch.

However, it has now been reported that the Reds have gone ahead of Man Utd and have proposed an offer for the Bundesliga player.

The 20-year-old has been Liverpool’s target man for a while now and the Reds have been making movements to bring the player to Anfield.

Moreover, it has been speculated that Newcastle United as well are in the race to sign the player. They have also put forward an offer but the German club are reluctant to sell and haven’t set a price for the midfielder.

Ryan Gravenberch: Liverpool bound?

The Reds are in the market to bolster their midfield for the next season. With Jude Bellingham Real Madrid bound, Klopp has been looking at other options. Mason Mount, Mac Allister, and Paulinha, are a few profiles on Klopp’s shortlist.

Liverpool will be losing Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner when their contracts expire at the end of the season. Thus, the German will need to bring in reinforcements and Gravenberch has emerged as a serious target.

Moreover, the ex-Ajax player had the option to join Klopp’s side as well, but he chose the German giants. But after a season, Gravenberch hasn’t had the desired gametime at Bayern.

With growing frustration over the lack of gametime, the player is said to be pushing a move to Anfield. He has racked up 30 appearances for Bayern in all competitions. Also, he has made two-goal contributions with most of his appearances coming as a substitute.

During his stay at Ajax, he emerged as one of the best young talents in the Netherlands. He helped the Dutch giants win three Eredivisie titles and two KNVB Cups. Gravenberch became the sixth-youngest Dutch international when he won his first Holland cap in 2021.
