Liverpool’s Spanish midfielder, Thiago Alcantara has been spotted on crutches ahead of their clash against Leicester.
Klopp’s side are on a 6-game winning streak in the PL and have reignited their top 4 hopes. Moreover, with Manchester United losing to Brighton, the Reds are currently just one point behind them, albeit having played one more game than them.
A month ago the possibility of a Champions League spot looked slim but the Reds have upped their game. Moreover, a dip in the form of Man Utd have also given Liverpool a more realistic chance of a UCL spot for the next season.
Even though they have no trophies to play for this season, the Reds would certainly be determined to clinch a UCL spot. They would also be active in the transfer market to try and compete for every prize the next season.
One of the main reasons for a poor season is injuries to important players for the majority of the season. The likes of Diaz, Thiago, and Keita have affected Klopp’s side for the majority of the season.
Also, Thiago was ruled out of this season after undergoing surgery on his hip. Now, the player has been spotted in crutches. But interestingly, he wasn’t found in Merseyside but rather, he was found in Barcelona.
Liverpool confirmed Thiago would miss the remainder of the campaign earlier this month, with the Spaniard required to undergo surgery.
He hasn’t shied away from joining his teammates on a relaxing break in Barcelona. The players were afforded some valuable time in the sun due to their extended gap between games.

Thiago Alcantara – To go again next season
Thiago is reportedly ready to hit the ground running at pre-season training, with him seemingly a part of Klopp’s future plans.
He is approaching the final year of his current contract, with a degree of uncertainty looming over a new deal. The Spaniard turned 32 this week and his frequent injuries have reduced his game time a lot.
No doubt that Thiago is an unbelievable technician on the ball and has every pass in his locker. Also, their amazing body feints and his defence-breaking passing abilities make him one of a kind.
But the question is, how much of it has Anfield witnessed? The answer, however, is not very. He has missed a lot of games since moving to Liverpool in 2020 and has not had the desired impact.
Since Klopp is looking to rebuild his midfield, the question remains whether he would be an important part of his starting XI.
