Liverpool star comments on Reds’ next potential signing

Liverpool are making moves this summer — and some of them are raising eyebrows.

With Andy Robertson’s future still up in the air, the Reds have set their sights on a younger left-back.

Enter Milos Kerkez. But when asked about the possible signing, current Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai didn’t give much away.

“I don’t know about him…for now,” Szoboszlai told Nemzeti Sport when asked about his Hungary teammate possibly joining him at Anfield.

It wasn’t the answer fans were hoping for, but it certainly adds fuel to the fire. Szoboszlai and Kerkez share more than just a national jersey.

They’re friends off the pitch, too. So if anyone might have inside info, it’s him. Still, his lips were sealed—at least for now.

Liverpool are in talks with Bournemouth to bring in Kerkez, who is rated at around £45 million. The 21-year-old has impressed in the Premier League and could be the long-term option Liverpool want on the left side.

With Robertson possibly heading for a new chapter in Spain, a fresh face seems likely.

But while Szoboszlai stayed quiet on Kerkez, he had no problem talking about another new Red — Armin Pecsi. The young Hungarian goalkeeper joined from Puskas Akademia recently. Szoboszlai revealed he knew about that one before it went public.

“A little earlier than you, based on inside information,” he said, before adding, “Work hard every day… Hard work will pay off in time.”

And the Reds aren’t stopping there. Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili is joining in July. Jeremie Frimpong has arrived from Leverkusen. And the club just completed a record-breaking £116 million move for Florian Wirtz. That’s not transfer business — that’s transfer fireworks.

It looks like Liverpool are planning for the future, and Hungary might just be their new favourite scouting ground.
