Cody was the best player from the Netherlands so far in their race. The team left the tournament due to their defeat at the hands of England.
The 25-year-old star has scored three goals in total, even if you keep that assist out of the equation.
In his SofaScore Team of Tournament, Cody Gakpo of Liverpool has carefully left out any player from England. Some fans rioted on social media and was left in flames after Gakpo included Mbappe.
It might be a striking incident that the LFC forward left out Man of the Tournament from it.
But, in the end, it’s his choice. Due to a congested scoreboard record, UEFA introduced a new rule and has decided to split the Golden Boot award.
After the end of Euro 2024, currently, Cody Gakpo currently shares the Golden Boot with Harry Kane, Dani Olmo, Jamal Musiala, Ivan Schranz, and Georges Mikautadze.
However, it is quite interesting to see how Cody Gakpo, the Liverpool forward, has omitted Harry Kane from his Team of the Tournament.
