Liverpool might be missing out on midfielder Ryan Gravenberch in the Tottenham clash if Arne Slot chooses to bench him.

The Christmas week has brought festive mood around the world and in the footballing sphere as 2024 comes to an end.

So far in this season, LFC have accumulated 36 points from 15 Premier League games and are currently topping the points table.

Before this year ends, the Reds are yet to play three PL games. The most recent clash will be against Tottenham Hotspurs as Arne Slot & Co. make their trip to London today.

However, the Merseyside lineup might be revamped as the Dutch head coach had fielded a much-rotated XI against Southampton in the midweek Carabao Cup clash.

But a major change can take place as suspension scare has arisen.

Ryan Gravenberch might miss Tottenham match

The young midfielder has started 100% of the PL games under Slot this season. In 15 PL appearances for the Merseysiders, the 22-year-old averages 1.9 tackles and 2.1 interceptions per game with 89.6% pass completion rate (stats via WhoScored).

However, during his playtime he has picked up four yellow cards. According to PL rules, a player will receive an one-match ban if he/she receives five yellow cards within gameweek 19.

As premierleague.com confirmed, Gravenberch is just one yellow card away from one-game suspension.

The 22-year-old most certainly will pick up another booking against any of Tottenham, West Ham or Leicester. Slot might start Wataru Endo against Spurs who impressed against Southampton midweek.

Apart from Gravenberch, Nunez and Konate are also hanging by a thread with four yellow cards received.
