Red Bull Salzburg signed 19-year-old Ignace Van der Brempt from Club Brugge on deadline day. This news has alerted Liverpool as it leaves the door wide open for Rasmus Kristensen.

Rasmus Kristensen is looked at as the perfect deputy to Liverpool star Trent Alexander- Arnold.

The Danish full-back has a very similar playing style to Trent and can fill the right-back gap on the bench after Neco’s departure in Liverpool’s squad.

Rasmus Kristensen: The Perfect deputy to Trent?

Having played at Red Bull Salzburg, the 24-year-old is used to playing in a high-pressure tactic. Not only that, but his playing style is very similar to that of Trent, hence making him the perfect deputy.

He is a great crosser of the ball. This season he has averaged 4.45 crosses per 90, very close to that of Trent (4.58 crosses per 90). He also makes 1.24 shot assists per 90, while playing around 1.4 key passes per 90.

While Trent’s numbers are far superior in this context (2.27 and 2.94 respectively), his numbers are still high for a full-back. He also completes around 54% of his dribbles compared to Trent’s 60%. (stats taken from fotmob)

The signing of Ignace Van der Brempt shows the RB Salzburg are ready for a life without Rasmus Kristensen. This means they might be ready to listen to offers for the former Ajax man.

Kristensen could be bought for cheap and he also fits the FSG model of signing players. The 24-year-old is still yet to hit his prime and can develop into a really good player at Anfield.

Liverpool could use the same trick they used to sign Kostas Tsikimas to sign Rasmus Kristensen.

Rasmus Kristensen has already proved that he can play on the top level by his brilliant performances in the Champions League and hence he would be a good fit for Liverpool.

It is also worth noting that Liverpool has a good relationship with the Red Bull Clubs, having signed Takumi Minamino and Naby Keita from them.

How do you think Rasmus Kristensen would be a good deputy to Trent Alexander-Arnold? Or do you think Liverpool should sign someone else?
