Big deal in progress – Liverpool owner in talks with Saudi Arabia after FSG’s PGA investment

Currently, Liverpool are busy in establishing their dominance in the 2024-25 Premier League season. As per multiple reports, John Henry, the owner of Liverpool is now talking with Saudi Arabia over a lumpsum amount they spent.

This is part of an effort to bring together a new union in the world of PGA, altogether with a few other stars. However, this move has managed to generate a different level of controversy among a section of people.

John Henry in talks over $1 Billion with Saudi Arabia

The Fenway Sports Group has owned LFC since 2010, and they recently made a considerably large investment. If things go alright, we could see a possible merger between the PIF backed LIV and PGA Tour Enterprises.

According to reports by ESPN, John Henry, the owner of Liverpool was recently talking with Saudi Arabia over a lumpsum deal. The FSG member along with some other big names met the PIF at New York over $1 Billion Dollars. As per sources, their talks were going on over a huge contribution to the PGA Tour.

However, their meeting with the Saudi Arabian giant had welcomed criticism from the 9/11 Justice Group. Apart from the Liverpool owner, besides John Henry, the legendary Tiger Woods were also a part of this group. Woods, Henry, Adam Scot and PGA Tour Enterprises manager Joe Gordon met with the PIF.

“Tomorrow, we commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, yet here we are today, in New York City, down the street from Ground Zero, and the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods are negotiating with them.

As has been confirmed in the last few weeks by CBS reporting, the Saudi Arabian government played a role in the horrific attacks of 9/11.”

John Henry and Liverpool owners, the Fenway Sports Group were trying to talk with Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Last year, FSG was behind the Strategic Sports Group who invested a major amount in the PGA Tour.
