Firmino has a new LFC contract offer in hand. His current contract runs out at the end of the season. His impressive start in the new season has earned him an extension deal on the table.

Firmino closing on to a new contract

According to the sources (Florina Plettenberg), Jurgen Klopp’s side are on a verge of retaining the Brazilian forward for another season. The 31-year-old Brazilian has been a key link-up player between the Red’s midfield and forward line. A few years back, the English giants’ forward lineup was one of the deadliest. It had Mane on the left Salah on right and Bobby in the middle.

Reboot of Bobby

The German head coach preferred the Brazilian talisman due to his versatility. He was a key factor in the trio. The Red’s number 9 could play as a center forward, the second striker, an attacking midfielder, and also as a make-shift right winger. The Egyptian and Roberto used to combine to create the most deadly counterattacks.

The center forward used to attract opposition defenders towards him to release key passes in behind opposition defenders. Salah was the main goalscorer and Firmino majorly acted as a provider. Although his goal-scoring record also cannot be forgotten.

Klopp looking to reignite his old student

The German genius is known for his man management. He was the one who found Bobby’s unique trait as a makeshift number 9. Now Jurgen is looking to reignite his old student to return back to his old form.

Last few years Liverpool’s number 9 was struggling to find his place in starting lineup. Especially after a fresh new injection of Luis Diaz, he was forced to sit back at the bench. But this season the creative forward lit up Anfield with his impressive performance. He was one of the few who put a fight on the pitch.

So far the Brazilian forward has made 21 appearances and scored 9 goals and created 4 assists in all competitions this season. We hope the Reds’ creative mind continues his impressive run in the second half of the season as well.
