Liverpool wants to sign Mason Mount and Gallagher

Liverpool are on the hunt for fresh blood to rejuvenate their midfield, and Conor Gallagher is high on their list of transfer targets.

Jurgen Klopp believes that the Chelsea midfielder has the energy and playing style that would make him a perfect fit for Liverpool’s midfield. There are even rumors that Liverpool might launch a double raid on Chelsea, with Mason Mount also in their sights.

While it may be difficult to lure players away from a top team like Chelsea, the Blues are under pressure to sell some assets to comply with Financial Fair Play requirements.

Gallagher to Liverpool?

Gallagher was valued at around £40m earlier this year but, with Chelsea overstocked with players and having to move a large number on in the summer, is likely to be available for a lower fee.

Gallagher is one of several options being assessed by Liverpool’s recruitment team, and his all-action, and energetic style, make him an attractive proposition.

It’s no secret that Liverpool needs to upgrade their midfield and the disappointing 2022-23 season. However, with the recent sacking of Chelsea’s head coach Graham Potter, the transfer possibility of Mount and Gallagher may become more complicated.

Nonetheless, Liverpool are continuing to plan behind the scenes, and Klopp remains positive about the talks that have taken place.

Only time will tell if Liverpool can secure their transfer targets and revamp their midfield for a more successful season ahead.

Klopp is eager to get the deal done next season, and talks have already been held. While it remains to be seen what the final price tag will be, the fact that Chelsea are looking to offload some players may make the deal more attractive to Liverpool.

Of course, Liverpool and Chelsea are both part of the “big six,” and it’s rare to see them strike deals with each other. But in this era of ever-increasing transfer fees, the only clubs that can afford these deals are the biggest and wealthiest.

And if Liverpool can put the right amount of cash on the table, it’s not beyond the realm of imagination that they could land both Gallagher and Mount.
