Liverpool have already made waves in the summer transfer market, but the floodgates may still be open. After snapping up Jeremie Frimpong, securing a big-money deal for Florian Wirtz, and closing in on Milos Kerkez, the Reds are not hitting pause.
In fact, it looks like Arne Slot wants to end his shopping spree with a proper No. 9 — the kind that makes defenders lose sleep.
Talks of a new striker have picked up pace, and according to talkSPORT, Liverpool are “not done” yet.
The club is lining up another move, this time for a center forward who can lead the line and finish chances with the calmness of a lunchtime penalty.
Wirtz’s arrival will cost Liverpool a reported £116.5 million, and Kerkez’s deal is said to be around £40 million. That adds to Frimpong’s £29.5 million price tag. But despite the spending, the board seems ready to go again.

Who could be next in line for Liverpool?
Newcastle stars Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon have caught Liverpool’s eye. Isak, valued at a steep £150 million, won’t come easily. But the Reds are said to be “massive admirers” of the Swedish striker.
As for Gordon, he nearly joined Liverpool last year. The deal was close — too close. “It was down to the final stages,” said talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, “but Newcastle decided they couldn’t part company with him.”
Now, with Darwin Nunez possibly heading out, Liverpool may have room — and cash — to go big again. But to land Isak or Gordon, they may need to offload a few more players and dig deep into their wallet… or maybe find a genie in a boot.
Anfield may have just won the league, but if this window’s anything to go by, they’re not here to relax.
